Stephen Santagata Obituary
Born in Providence, he was a son of Anthony L. and Anna M. (Nannarone) Santagata, Sr., of Smithfield.
Stephen worked in the Plumbing and Maintenance Division for the Smithfield School Department for twenty-five years, retiring in 1995.
Besides his wife, and parents, he leaves a son, Dustin J. Santagata of Smithfield; two brothers, Anthony L. Santagata of Johnston and Paul A. Santagata of North Providence; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 8:45 a.m. from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Casimir Church, 350 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Dear Stevie,
Even though you are no longer physically with us, we know that you're spirit is with us every day. We miss you and wish that you never had to suffer the way you did. Dear Sanatgata Family,
I am very sad to hear of Stephen's passing. I was glad to be able to visit him on Friday, and talk to him for a while. I was surprised that he knew immediately who i was. He was a good man, a friend and will be missed, if not in our hearts forever.
