Hercules Bovis Obituary
Born in Kalamata, Greece a son of the late Athansios and Maria (Nonopoulos) Bovis.
Mr. Bovis owned and operated the former restaurant, Washington Lunch, in Providence before retiring 20 years ago. He was a Police Officer in Athens, Greece prior to moving to this country in 1959.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son; Thomas Bovis and his wife Wendy of North Kingstown; his daughter Theodora Bovis-Koch and her husband Douglas of Newton, MA. He was the grandfather of Eric and Alexandra, brother of George Bovis of Cranston and the late Stasinos Bovis.
Mr. Bovis funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45 a.m. from 'WOODLAWN' Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston followed by a Funeral Service at 10 a.m. in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, 175 Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence. Donations in his memory may be made to the Church. Visitation Friday 5-8 p.m. www.WoodlawnGattone.com
