Marguerite McBride Obituary

McBRIDE, MARGUERITE 'PEGGY' (CARROLL), 83, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis E. McBride, Sr. Born in Lewiston, Maine, she was a daughter of the late Edward J. and Grace (McKinnon) Carroll. Mother of Louis E. McBride, Jr., Cheryl A. Smith and Patricia A. Arden. Sister of Edward J. Carroll and the late Sister Mary Evangeline Carroll and Mary Grace Murphy. Grandmother of Cathy A. Rothrock, Tyler J. Smith, Allison G. and Meredith L. Arden. Great-grandmother of Emma C. Rothrock. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. PATTY, CHERYL & 'LITTLE' LOUIE - WE LOST TRACK OF PEG FAR TOO LONG AGO, AND WERE UNABLE TO FIND A CURRENT ADDRESS FOR HER.
SHE WAS ONE OF THE BEST FRIENDS EVER, AND AN ABSOLUTE DELIGHT TO KNOW. I AM SO SORRY THAT I DID NOT SEE THE NOTICE IN THE JOURNAL IN TIME TO BE WITH ALL OF YOU. SOME OF MY BEST MEMORIES ARE OF TIMES SPENT WITH PEG, CLAIRE E. AND MARY KATHERINE. WITH MUCH LOVE AND DEEPEST SYMPATHY

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. We will miss her dearly and wish we would have spent more time visiting with her. We will think of her often. Matter of fact when we lived next door She gave me a small measuring cup, Dennis didn't to much cooking being alone. I will think of her every time I use it. She was a great pearson and wish I had know her longer.
