Arthur Grover Obituary

GROVER, ARTHUR E., of Cranston died on August 12. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Aileen Kucen Grover.

He was born in Danbury, CT, the son of Elizabeth and Berkeley Grover Sr. Arthur graduated from Danbury High School and Henry Abbott Technical School. He served 4 years in the Navy during WWII. He worked at Bulova Watch Co. for 36 years and was Assistant Production Manager when they closed. For over 50 years he was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Providence. He was also well known for helping neighbors and friends. Arthur was a boating enthusiast on Narragansett Bay for many years.

Brothers Alan of Cherry Valley, NY and Jim of Old Saybrook, CT and a sister, Jean Straiton of New Fairfield, CT, survive him. A brother Berkeley of Lebanon, OR and a sister Margery Lauf of Danbury, CT predeceased him.

A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on 445 Elmwood Ave., in Providence on Thursday, August 21 at 12 noon. Remembrances, in lieu of flowers donations to local food bank locations would be appreciated.
