Charles Zaroogian Obituary

ZAROOGIAN, CHARLES, 83, of East Greenwich, passed away Friday, August 29, 2008 at Kent County Hospital in Warwick. He was the beloved husband for 53 years of the late Catherine M. (Elby) Zaroogian.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Garabed and Arsine (Boligian) Zaroogian, he lived in Cranston before moving to East Greenwich in 2004.

Mr. Zaroogian worked with his late brother Herbert at Herbs Sunoco in Warwick for over 30 years before retiring. He was a WW-II U.S. Navy Veteran.

He was the loving and devoted father of Charles D. Zaroogian of Cranston, Steven J. Zaroogian and his wife Joanne of East Greenwich, Kathleen A. Zaroogian and Mary Jean Zaroogian, both of Cranston and Donna M. Garrahy and her husband Michael of Warwick; loving grandfather of Lisa, Christina, Karisa and Brandyn; and dear brother of the late Herbert and George Zaroogian. He also leaves many cherished relatives, friends and extended family members.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday 6-9 p.m. Burial with Military Honors will be at RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.

Bob, Meghan and I are so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. As hard as it is for you and your family to lose your father so soon after your mother, I truly believe that your father is happy now with your mother. I hope that you and your family have comfort in believing that as well.
