Russell Adams Obituary

ADAMS, RUSSELL MELVIN, 81, of Cardi Circle, Cranston, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2008. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Schofield) Adams for 60 years.

Born in Providence, son of the late Russell Milton and Helen (Olney) Adams, he moved to Warwick in 1948 and to Cranston in 1966.

Mr. Adams was a truck driver for the former A&P Food Stores and the former AAA Trucking Co. for many years before retiring. After retiring, he was a Cranston school bus driver for many years. He was a WW-II U.S. Army Veteran; a member and caller for the Ramblin Squares Square Dancing; and a member of Teamsters Local 251.

Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Robert M. Adams, Richard M. Adams and Donna L. Rotondo Cummings, all of Cranston, and the late Russell J. Adams and Ronald M. Adams; loving grandfather of eight; and loving great-grandfather of three.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by interment at Pawtuxet Memorial Park Cemetery in Warwick.
