Donald O'Donnell Obituary

O'DONNELL, DONALD 75, of Libby Lane in Warren, RI passed away peacefully late Monday morning at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Nassar) O'Donnell for fifty-five years.

Born in Warren he was the son of the late Harvey & Beatrice (Kozaka) O'Donnell. Mr. O'Donnell was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. He worked as a Machinist for the New England Butt Co. for 23 years before retiring. Donald was a communicant of St. Mary of the Bay Church in Warren. He was also a past member of Engine #3 Fire Company in Warren

Besides his loving wife he leaves thirteen wonderful children Patricia Sanford of North Attleboro, MA, Jeanne Bateman of Riverside, Kathleen Warner of Narragansett, Dianne Kevan of Providence, Deborah Calenda of Warren, Donald J. O'Donnell, Jr. of Cranston, Patrick O'Donnell of Swansea, MA, Russell O' Donnell of Jonesville, NC, Rosemary Plamondon, Barbara Vittoria, Shirley Ferrara and Pauline Russell all of Warren and Laurie Matias of Bristol; four Brothers Robert, Richard, Gerald and James O'Donnell; two sisters, Jeannette Rodrigues and Patricia Pattie; thirty-seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Harvey, Jr., Thomas, Armand and David O'Donnell.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd, Warren where family will receive friends Friday 4-8 PM. Funeral Saturday at 8:45 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Mary of the Bay Church 645 Main Street in Warren. Burial will be private at the request of the family. Military Honors will be rendered at the Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to St. Vincent de Paul of St. Mary of the Bay Church. Visit www.celebratewithsmith.com
