Jose Sousa Obituary
Mr. Sousa was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and later worked for many years at Leviton. He was communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church and was a member of the Brightridge Hall Holy Ghost Brotherhood of Charity, the Portuguese American Sports Club and of the Portuguese American Athletic Club.
He is survived by his children, Michael S. Sousa, Anna M. Sousa and Cathy Sousa, and their mother, Maria Jesus (Silva) Sousa, all of East Providence; and his grandchildren, Mikayla, Mikey and Aydan. He was the brother of Maria Ana Sousa of Warwick, and Maria Jose Sousa and Conceicao Medeiros, both of the Azores. He also leaves behind many family members and friends.
His funeral will begin Friday at 9am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Francis Xavier Church, No. Carpenter St., East Providence. Military honors and burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation Friday morning 8-9am. www.rebellofuneralhome.com
