Lois Laliberte Obituary

LALIBERTE, LOIS TILLINGHAST, 91, died peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2008 at the Sunny View Nursing Home. A longtime Warwick resident, Lois lived on Van Buren Street for 53 years. She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph A. Laliberte for 45 years.

She will be greatly missed by her son, Daniel Laliberte of Jamestown and his partner, Steve Jorgensen, and her daughters: Arlene Gundlach of New London, CT and her husband, Russell; Sandra Kelley of Hope and her husband, Michael; Cynthia Olobri of Jamestown and her husband, Raymond; and Julie Jencks of Skowhegan, Maine and her husband, Samuel. She is also survived by ten grandchildren: Russell Gundlach, Jr., Emily Thaler, David Gundlach, Beth Gundlach, Christopher Olobri, Joseph Olobri, Ryan Kelley, Matthew Jencks, Phillip Jencks, and Jacob Jencks. She had seven great grandchildren.

Lois was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She worked as a bookkeeper for many firms over her lifetime and was a stay-at-home mom for all the years her children were young. She was a member of the order of the Eastern Star and the Friendship Club.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2008 at 9:30 am at the Westminster Unitarian Church, 119 Kenyon Avenue, East Greenwich, RI 02818 - www.westministeruu.org. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Westminster Memorial Garden, at the above address.
