Damon Hedges Obituary
Born in Providence, he was the son of Damon Fowlkes and Traci Hedges of East Providence.
Besides his parents, Damon leaves one sister Makayla M. Hedges, one brother Andrew W. Hedges both of East Providence, his maternal grandparents Claire and Warren Hedges of East Providence; his paternal grandmother Debora Greene of Newport as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Damon was the grandson of the late Rudolph Fowlkes.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30AM to 11:30AM in the PERRY/MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Service at 11:30AM. Burial will be in Rumford Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Damon Hedges Memorial Fund c/o Claire Hedges 2930 Pawtucket Avenue #7, East Providence, RI 02915 would be deeply appreciated.

My Blessed Grandson:
Nana will miss everything about you and because you were an Angel on earth I know you are in Heaven now looking down on all of us. I loved spending time with you. You taught me how to play video games, we watched wrestling and cooking shows together, you drew picture for me and at time we just talked. You were truly my companion. I will keep you in my prayers, my heart and my thoughts always.

To my dearest cousin,
I will always remember the big smile you always had on your face everytime me and my mom (Jacqueline) always saw you. It is such a shock to us to find out that you are gone but you will never be forgotten and will always be in our hearts and thoughts. To my "Baby Boy"
Auntie will miss the way you greated me when I came over. Your smile...your compliments always made me smile. Your charm started right in the home. I will miss our time together and our laughs. I am still trying to understand this thing that has happend, but I think (now that I truly know) you were an ANGEL sent here to us and perhaps you couldn't see us as well on Earth so you decided to go to heavan to be an ANGEL up above so you could see everything perfectly and protect and guide us. I am so deeply sorry for your loss! It came as a complete shock to me. I still can't believe it. But I would like to thank you for the time that I got to spend working with Damon at East Providence High School. It was a great pleasure. He was a wonderful kid with a smile that could light up a room. Never did he ever look down, he always had that smile on his face. Damon was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all. Dear auntie Traci and makayla ,
I am so sorry for your loss. I cant say i understand how u feel but as Damons cousin im extremly hurt I absolutely loved him. I remember the days me and brenna would go to your house and we would all go outside and play ball or travel the neighborhood thinking it was so big, laughing and acting like we ran east providence. God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.

But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;

It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,

And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
