Vivian DiCenso Obituary
Ms DiCenso is survived by her two sons, Steven D. (Kimberly) DiCenso of East Greenwich, RI and Michael J. (Loree) DiCenso of Cranston, RI; her grandchildren, Juliana, Michael Jr., Anthony and Domenic; brothers and sisters, Mary Ruscito, Christine Giramma, Rose Schneider, Julio Gionti, Josephine Parente, Anna Gionti and Joseph Gionti. She was preceded in death by Mario P. DiCenso and by her brother, Salvatore Gionti. A mass will be held on Monday, September 29, 2008 at 11:00am at the Holy Apostle Church in Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Hope Hospice, 9470 Healthpark Circle, Ft Myers, FL 33908. 239-985-7792.

I was so sorry to hear that your mom had passed. My mind went directly to the Burrilville skating rink when she and I would sit together and cheer our boys on during the hockey games.

Steven and Michael,
You have lost such a wonderful mother and grandmother to your children. Her voice made the everyone stop and listen, her smile filled the room. I remember in days long past, she and your Uncle Joe singing in the parlor on Noxen St. Holidays, and parties where we all had so much fun. Days go by, but I know in your heart it hurts. I pray everyday for you and your family.
My thoughts are with you and my sincere hope is that you fill your hearts and minds with the good memories.
You took very good care of her, not just when she was sick, but all the time. You were the loves of her life. Thank you for giving me the chance to have been a part of your lives. I have very fond memories, of you sitting in our parlor talking with your cousins and her just looking over at you, with such a look of complete love.
Though I have not seen you, I love you all and wish you the peace that only God can give.

My friend just died today

I'm so sad and my prayers go out to all. I didn't get to see great Aunt Vivian that much. I'll never forget when great Aunt Vivian tried to teach me to dance when she visited. I thought she was so much fun. She was always so sweet and always laughing and smiling. She was a beautiful lady and a beautiful person. I will also miss her emails. Although I only knew Vivian for a few short years, her warmth and kindness made it seem as though we had been friends forever. Our love of singing and meeting with good friends at Karaoke clubs was the cement of our relationship. I will never again listen to "Where the Boys Are" without hearing her beautiful voice. It was a privilege to have known her.
