Robert Cetenich Obituary

CETENICH, ROBERT D. SR., 87, of Little Pond Rd., died Saturday. He was the husband of Myrtle H. (Tenbrink) Cetenich and the late Mildred L. (Albies) Cetenich.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late George H. Cetenich and Mildred N. (Briggs) Oatley. Mr. Cetenich was a W.W. II US Navy veteran serving on the USS Pittsburgh (CA72). He was a fireman for 22 years and an engineer for 17 years for several railroad companies, before retiring from Conrail in 1982. He was a member of Christ the King Church and had lived in East Providence before moving to Wakefield in 1990.

Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Robert D. Cetenich Jr. of SC and Steven G. Cetenich of Seekonk, MA; a brother William Cashman; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Gary W. Cetenich.

The funeral will be Monday 8:30 AM from the AVERY-STORTI Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Rd., Kingston.
