David Brazil Obituary

BRAZIL, DAVID J., 62, of Jamestown, passed away Tuesday at RI Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Linda A. (Baker) Brazil for 35 years.

Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of the late John E. and Florence (Andrade) Brazil.

A 12 year veteran of the US Air Force, he served during Vietnam. He received his MS in Aerospace Physics from the Air Force Institute of Technology in 1970. David was a systems analyst for Lifespan and continued working despite his illness. Prior to Lifespan, he worked at CVS, Fleet and and Logicon-Syscon.

Besides his wife he leaves two children, Brian C. and Rebecca L. Brazil; two sisters, Frances Brazil-Kelleher and Jean Della Vecchia; a niece, Emily J. Baker and a nephew Jared D. Brazil.

His Funeral will be held Monday, October 6, 2008 at 8:45am from the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown, with a Service at 10am in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 525 Broadway, Newport. Burial with Military Honors will be in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Sunday 2-5pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the RI Food Bank or the Comprehensive Cancer Center of RI Hospital will be appreciated.
