Tears fall as I think of the good Courtney Jean and Richard could be doing in this world during this difficult time. Unlike the hatred shown among so many of us Americans toward our international neighbors, Courtney and Richard, over fifteen years ago were already reaching out to those neighbors through their studies. By now, they might have been shining examples to our world community through their very evident appreciation of the value of diversity--a much needed contrast to what I see as American shameful national pridefulness at the highest levels.

Dear Friends and Relatives of Courtney,
I have uploaded to the photo album two photos of Courtney taken last spring. These were both taken by a fellow student who misses her dearly, as do many, many faculty and students here at The Ohio State University.
Sincerely,

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you go through this very difficult time. I never had the pleasure of meeting Courtney. However, I remember you speaking very highly of her at work. Cherish all of your memories and hold them close to your heart. I know that you loved her and that you are very proud of her accomplishments. She was a very bright, intelligent and beautiful young lady and is now an angel in heaven watching over and protecting you.
May God continue to bless and keep you in his loving care is my prayer.
