Joseph Pierson Obituary
Born in South Kingstown he was a son of the late David T., Sr. and Margery (Smith) Pierson.
He was a US Army Veteran serving during Vietnam.
Mr. Pierson was a heavy equipment operator for many years before retiring.
Besides his wife he leaves two children, Lynn R. Hellman and her husband James W. Hellman and Russell S. Pierson; three brothers, David, Neil and Steven Pierson; five sisters, Sylvia Whaley, Marcia Harvey, Linda Coble, Janice Hannaford and Brenda Key; four grandchildren, Nicole and Scott Camara, Justine and Megan Hellman; and one great-granddaughter Mya Hellman. He was the brother of the late Kenneth Pierson and Gail Duncan.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours Wednesday, October 8, 2008 from 4-8pm in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held Thursday at 11am in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery Columbarium Chapel, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Odyssey Hospice, 100 Quaker Lane, Suite 2, Warwick, RI 02886 will be appreciated.

I have known Joe for nearly 30 years and he was always generous and welcoming to me, and always quick to offer me something to eat. He may be one of the funniest people I have ever known ('of all the roads in RI, I have to be behind a Horse's...). Keep "carrying those buckets of water!" "Watermelons and earrings!" Who's moving in?
