Elizabeth Calise Obituary

CALISE, ELIZABETH (CARNEVALE), 93, of Scituate Vista Drive, Cranston, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at RI Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Peter Calise.

Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Loretta (Tortis) Carnevale. Elizabeth was a salesperson for the former Gladdings Department Store and Jackies of Cranston until her retirement. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella.

She was the beloved mother of Anthony Calise of Bristol and the late Vincent Calise. Mother-in-law of Jeanette Calise of Delray Beach, FL. Grandmother of Capt. Jeff Calise, Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office, Gina Sahagian, Lora Burgess, and Kristen Rubino. Great grandmother of nine. She was sister of the late Yolanda Bonitati, Josephine Durante, Giovanna 'Gilda' Fiore, Anna Lonardo, Carmino, Salvatore, and Alfred Carnevale.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave, Cranston on Saturday at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston at 10am. VISITING HOURS Friday 4-8pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. So sorry to hear of your loss. My heart goes out to you at this time of sorrow. Auntie Liz was always so understanding and full of good advice when she visited us at the flower shop. She always made us laugh, too. She was a wonderful person and will be missed.

So sorry for your loss. It is so difficult to lose a mother at any age. Auntie Liz was my favorite aunt and my Godmother. She was a sweetheart--always there when anybody in the family needed her. I loved her and will always miss her. God bless her. She was the best!
