Mary Rego Obituary

REGO MARY, 91 yrs old, a lifelong Bristol resident, died Tuesday October 7, 2008 at Cherry Hill Manor. She was the wife of the late James E. Rego.

She's the former owner of Rego's Restaurant in Bristol for many years. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church.

She leaves one son Manuel Rego of Warren, one brother Gilbert Pacheco of Bristol and three grandchildren Kris-Ann, Amy and Jamie. She was also the sister of the late Joseph, David and Angie Pacheco, Adeline Preite and Connie Ferreira.

Her Funeral will be Friday at 8 am from the WILBUR-ROMANO Funeral Home, 615 Main Street, Warren. Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood St., Bristol. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut St., Bristol. VISITATION THURSDAY 4-8 PM. Donation in Mary's memory to St. Elizabeth's Church.

Manny: I'm sorry to learn of Mary's death; she was a good and cheerful person. Many of us Roger Williams faculty ate lunch at Rego's almost daily, and your mother's cheerful smile and pleasant manner helped all of us make it through the day. My best to you, always.

I was sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Mary was the last friend left from the old neighborhood. They are all gone now. I have many wonderful memories of Mary and Jimmy Rego.
