Bernard Hulme Obituary

HULME, BERNARD, 87, of Green St., Cumberland, passed away Thursday at the Hebert Nursing Home.

He was the husband of the late Marjorie C. (Chapman) Hulme. Born in Ashton-Under-Lyne, England, a son of the late Joseph E. and Lily (Hollingshead) Hulme. Mr. Hulme was a file cutter for Nickelson File Co. for 20 years then was employed as an electrician at the RI School of Design for 21 years before retiring in 1983. He was a former member of Mt. Moriah Lodge #8 F&AM; a member of AARP and a WW II Navy Veteran.

He leaves two daughters, Marsha E. Provonsil of Harrisville and Marilyn Hulme of Pawtucket; a son, Edward R. Hulme of Glocester; a granddaughter, Breanna L. Hulme; two step-grandchildren, Rebecca and Jeremy Provonsil and two brothers, Edward Hulme of Harwich, MA and Ernest Hulme of Charlestown. He was the brother of the late Dorothy Celano.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10am in the Merrick R. Williams Funeral Home, 530 Smithfield Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Monday 4-7pm.
