Irene Erinakes Obituary
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Hormidas & Edourdina (Charbonneau) Erinakes. Irene was a lifelong resident of West Warwick.
Irene and her husband, owned and operated the former Hilltop Drive In, Kent Theater, Greenwich Odeum all in East Greenwich, and the former Sweet Shop & Valley Liquor Store in Arctic for many years.
She was the mother of Christos H. Erinakes, MD, James H. Erinakes, both of West Warwick, and Charles H. Erinakes of North Kingstown. Sister of Joseph Theroux. Grandmother of 7; great grandmother of 15, also survived by one great-great granddaughter.
Her funeral will be SATURDAY at 11:45 a.m. from the Robert A. Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte.117), Coventry, followed by a Funeral Service at 1 p.m. in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 175 Oaklawn Ave., Cranston. Burial in North Burial Ground. Visiting hours THURSDAY 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Assn., 222 Richmond St., Ste. 204, Providence, RI 02903 will be appreciated.

As the opera had their popular trio, we had ours; The Erinakes women. I can still picture them sitting together at Cousin Helene’s Christmas Gathering or at the Church in back row, right side (Aunt Irene, Aunt Helen, and our Grandmother Blanche). What incredibly strong women we had in our lives, and how proud they would all be of our family’s accomplishments due to their direction. Much love, Kristen
