Margaret Halpin Obituary

HALPIN, MARGARET, 77, of Holiday Dr., died Tuesday at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of John J. Halpin.

Born in Birmingham, England a daughter of the late William and Beatrice (Plante) Holden. She came to the United States in 1950 and resided in Lincoln for thirty-three years.

Mrs. Halpin was a silkscreen operator for A.T. Cross for thirteen years retiring in 1985. She served on the Lincoln Conservation Committee, the Butterfly Garden, was a Scout Leader in Cumberland and a Foster Mother.

Besides her husband she leaves four daughters Margaret A. Roberts of Vermont, Kathryn M. Porter of California, Shirley R. Lincoln of North Providence, Barbara D. Brearton of Warwick, one son John W. Halpin of Coventry, three sisters Olive Sharp of Australia, Dorothy Malyscko of New York, Shirley Wykes of Wales, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from Bellows-Falso Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude Church, Front Street, Lincoln at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
