Robert Rene Duguay

DUGUAY, ROBERT RENE, 88, of CT died on Sunday, October 12. Husband for forty years of the late Eileen (Wheelan) Duguay, who died in 1986, Bob was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He was born in Woonsocket, RI to the late Arthur and Linda (Maurice) Duguay. Bob is survived by a son Bob (Lucille) Duguay, Simsbury, CT, daughters Bonnie (Bill) Penders, Durham, CT, Linda Duguay (Ray Wood), Honey Brook, PA, Kate Duguay (Kevin Chase), Glastonbury, CT, and Pat (George) Kachmar, Punta Gorda, FL, fifteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, sister Lucille Geary of Providence, and many nieces and nephews in the Providence area. In addition to his wife Eileen, Bob was predeceased by son and daughter-in-law Dick and Kathy (Carr) Duguay, brothers Roland, Joseph, and Richard Duguay, and sister Theresa Leduc.

President of his class at Mount Pleasant High School, Providence, RI Class of 1940, Bob was a WWII Veteran proudly serving as an Army Air Force Navigator as a second lieutenant in the South Pacific, and attended Brown University after the war on the GI Bill.

Services will be on Thursday, October 16, 4-7 p.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home, Main St, Stratford, CT and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 17 at 10:30 a.m. at St James Church, So. Main St., Stratford, CT.
