Brenton MacKenzie Obituary

MacKENZIE, BRENTON, H. JR., 75, of Middle Highway, died peacefully on October 14, 2008. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Ashton) MacKenzie.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Brenton H. MacKenzie Sr. and Hortense (MacLeod) MacKenzie, he lived in Barrington for 52 years.

Mr. MacKenzie was a mechanic for the General Electric Co. for 30 years before retiring in 1999.

Brenton was a United States Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. MacKenzie was a soft spoken, kind man, who will be missed by all who knew him.

Besides his wife of 51 years, he is survived by a daughter; Nancy MacKenzie Pickar and her husband Myles M. Pickar of Cranston, a brother; John H. MacKenzie of Manassas, VA, and a grandson; Daniel M. Pickar of Cranston.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday October 18 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNER AL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue at 11 am. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Prince's Hill Cemetery, County Road, Barrington. Calling hours are Friday 5-8 pm.

Just want to say hello to Brent's family and let you know that I am thinking of you and sending you my sincerest sympathies . I met him at Golden Crest nursing center and really thought he was such a nice quiet gentle man.. and I also met his daughter and wife.. He will be missed and now may he rest in peace..and God Bless you all.

Uncle Brent was a good husband and a good father who was a very nice person to be around and was loved by many people. He will be missed very much. Uncle Brent is in peace now looking over us.
