Harold Birtwell Obituary
Born in Pawtucket a son of the late Harry F. and Maude M. (Simmons) Birtwell. He moved to Florida in 2006.
Mr. Birtwell helped launch the first broadcast of WJAR TV in 1949, and worked for the station for over forty years. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp during WWII.
Harold was a member of the former Trinity Episcopal Church.
Besides his wife he leaves one daughter Rae Anne Horodysky of Florida, one son Harold G. Birtwell, Jr. of California, one sister Nancy Wheaton of Virginia, two grandchildren John Horodysky III of Michigan and Nathan Horodysky of Coventry.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 11am in Swan Point Cemetery Chapel, Blackstone Blvd., Providence. Burial will follow. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday 6-8pm at BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Rd., Lincoln. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to one's favorite charity would be appreciated.
