Dear Colasante Family,
We both were sorry to hear of the passing of Olindo. Often, as we pulled into the driveway at my parents's house, Olindo would be out in the yard or on his way to or from work. He always stopped to chat and was always pleasant to chat with, and very clearly a hard worker. We really appreciated having you all as neighbors. It is hard to know that Olindo is no longer with us. May God Bless you as you deal with his loss.

There are few people I remember from High School as well as I remember Olindo. He was truly ahead of his time. When everyone else in school was acting like an immature high school student Olindo was selfless and kind. I still remember standing on the soccer field and watching the cross country team train. Olindo was not the fastest runner but he was the most determined. What a wonderful quality to possess. To this day when I think about a true gentleman I think of Olindo. I count myself blessed to have known him and to be able to call him a friend. My heart goes out to you. I know he'll be missed...

girls,
i am so sorry about your loss. the entire family loved olindo with all our hearts and he always seemed to make things a litte brighter. i remember at every wedding he would be my dance partner, and boy could we get down. when me and my mom would come over and go swimming he would always ask me if i wanted a candy bar when he went to s&s. i remember sunday's when i went to the makert with my mom and dad, i would always want to go through his line. he always managed to carry a smile and he was deffinitely one of the sweetest people in my life. he touched us all and will forever remain in my heart. i love you all, and again i am deeply sorry for your loss. he is with auntie and uncle now in a better place. however, family gatherings will be a little emptier without his presence.

I knew Olindo from Stop&Shop, he was alway so warm and friendly and genuine. I missed seeing him when I shopped. I did see Olindo last week at Sovereign bank on Atwood ave.,
he was in a car with other people and had a big smile on his face. I wanted to stop and and say hello and ask how he was doing doing but for whatever reason I didn't. I won't forget that big smile on his face.
My husband Frank Zincone also has fond memories of Olindo. He will be missed.

Your brother was such a sweet and caring person.I'm going to miss those private talks when he would say "can I tell you something" and you know what he was going to say but you listened and gave him your opinion anyway. All our lives will be quite a bit emptier now, but we will all move on in time and Lindo is safe with his Mom and Dad looking over us for he truly is an angel.
All My Love,
Cousin Eddie

Dear Gloria, Debra and Elena,

I am very sad to hear about Olindo. He was always so nice, smiling and concerned about everyone except himself. I grew up on Brooks St. and I am sure you remember my grandmother Rose, who lived next door to your family (you were kids). She was so good to Olindo and he always spoke of her kindness. I talked with him often at Stop & Shop.

God Bless,
Debbie

To my dear friend Olindo, I met you in Jr. high school. When I was trying to find myself, looking back, little did I know you were giving me all I needed. Your friendship. You were the most caring person in a time when all it was all about was trying to be apart of the in crowd. I was proud and will always be proud to say you were and will remain a best friend that I will sadly miss.

Dear Gloria, Debra and Elena,

I was saddened to hear the news of Olindo. He was a good, caring man. I went to school with Olindo and as we got older would keep in touch through seeing each other at church, Stop and Shop and around the community. Olindo taught me a great deal about persistence, understanding and forgiveness. For that and more I am grateful. He was a sincere friend who will be missed and remembered. You have my most sincere sympathies. God bless your Mom, Dad, Olindo and you and yours.

Colasante Family:
I am sorry to hear of Olindo's passing. As a member of the Cranston East Cross Country and Track teams during the late 1970s, we often traveled with the Cranston West teams to various competitions and that is when I first met Olindo.
Olindo always gave his best effort and as years passed I had the pleasure of speaking with him at Stop & Shop. Always "one of the guys", we reminisced about running at Bryant College and other places. Olindo's greeting and pleasant way will be greatly missed.
