Hattie Rice Obituary

RICE, HATTIE, 94, of 4000 Post Road, died Tuesday at Brentwood Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Theodore Rice.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Nathan and Annie (Vinoker) Slobodinsky. Hattie and her husband were the owner/operators of Nathan's Express for over 50 years. She was a former member of Temple Am David.

Devoted mother of Ira and Sharon Rice of Cranston. Loving grandmother of Amy and Pamela. Adored great-grandmother of Phillip, Samuel and Maya. Dear sister of the late Morris Slobin, Harry Slobodinsky and Rose Brookner.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Temple Am David. Shiva will be observed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Rice, 15 Annual Dr., Cranston, Saturday 7-9 and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
