PHILLIPS-ARRUDA, MARK D., 43, of Lincoln Ave., died October 23, 2008 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. He was born in Providence, the son of Linda (Santos) Arruda of Riverside and the late Jack Arruda.
He worked as a finish carpenter until his illness.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his daughters; Kiana and Olivia Phillips both of Riverside, his stepson Douglas Stracaluzi of Providence, his beloved girlfriend Chantal May of Riverside, his brothers; Michael and his wife Kelly Arruda of Glocester, Matthew and his wife Cindy Arruda of Riverside. He was the stepbrother of Debra and her husband Jim Cubberly of CA and John and his wife Elaine Arruda of CT. He was the nephew of Manuel and Dorothy Santos of Warwick, Joseph and Sandra Arruda of Coventry, Leonard and Ardis Santos of PA, Gloria and Norman Bouchard of VT. He is survived by a close friend of the family, Judy Boissonneau. He leaves his nieces; Holly, Haeley, Kaylyn, Sophia and his nephew Nicholas and his best friend Chris Maia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Monday evening at 7PM in the Barrington Baptist Church, 9 Old County Road, Barrington. Calling hours are respectively omitted. Kindly omit flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.

All of you have been in my thoughts over these past weeks. Your Dad was a lovely person and I know how much he loved you, from being around all of you. I am here for all of you, but especially Olivia and Kiana. Call me anytime.
