Doris Hazard Obituary

HAZARD, DORIS R. 'DOT', 86, of Burnt Hill Rd., passed away Sunday, October 26, 2008 at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late Norman 'Bob' Hazard.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Margaret (Doonan) Desautel. Dot founded, owned & operated with her late husband Bob the Hazard Brothers Orchard in Scituate for over 45 years.

She is survived by her five sisters-in-law, Virginia Lambert of Coventry, Bernice Tougas of Cranston, Hazel Hazard of Scituate, Lee Hazard of Warwick, Alta Jo Hazard and her husband Lester of North Kingstown; several nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Ernest Desautel, Jr., Earl Desautel and Evelyn Pietraszka.

Dot's funeral service will be held Friday, October 31, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Robert A. Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., Coventry. Burial will be in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Glocester. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Hospice VNA of Care New England, 51 Health Lane, Warwick RI 02886 will be appreciated.

This is Bill @ Sharon Hazard in Florida:

We will miss you so much Dot and also we miss you Bob.I spent many great days at thier apple farm when we Lived in RI,I always loved to go and eat the green apples, pick blueberrys and Pumpkins when I was growing up.We had Property next to them and sometimes I would sneak over to get the smallest green apples,lol.I love yall so much,Rest in peace.
