Claire Berk Obituary
Born in Philadelphia, PA, a daughter of the late Samuel and Anna (Genter) Besden, she had lived in Cranston for 36 years. She was a graduate of U.R.I., Class of 1970 and taught English Literature there. Claire was a member of Temple Beth-El and its Sisterhood.
Devoted mother of Suzi Nichols, Mimi (Preston) Seabury and Robert Berk. Dear sister of Hy (Temmy) Besden, Norman Besden, Harriet (Richard) Sherman and sister-in-law of Mitzi (Larry) Greenberg. Loving grandmother of Morgan, Nathan, Emily and Meka. Cherished great-grandmother of Jasper and Callie. Adored aunt of 11 nieces and 4 nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to National Parkinson Foundation, Inc. Shiva will be private.

I was saddened to read about Claire. As you both know, we went to the Women's progam at URI together. We really had womderful experiences there. I have very fond memories of Claire and offer my condolesces to you and your family.
