Dear Lori,Russ,Cory,Kyle&Cody,
I was more than blessed to have had such a marvelous sister-in-law.
I shall always remember how loving, kind and considerate Shirley was when I became a member of your family.
She extended herself to everyone who came within her orbit.
One day she and Dick surprised me with a few words in Spanish. That caring gesture was indescribable.
I will never forget the month she spent with me after Lester died.
She was at that time an angel God sent for my comfort.
I shall always admire how she loved Dick,Lori,Russ,Cory,Kyle&Cody.

Dear Laurie and family:
Your loss is one many share with you. Shirley was one of my closest friends. We worked together and then we enjoyed many fun times after we both retired. We sometimes just enjoyed sitting out on her porch, occasionally with ice cream!! Not only did we share good times, we were able to be there for each other during times that were difficult as well. Shirley really knew how to have fun and we shared many laughs. We attended shows, took trips together with the senior groups, went out to eat and just had a great friendship. I miss my friend and am very grateful for the wonderful times we had.

I am blessed to have had such a loving and caring grandmother. She was always interested in every aspect of my life and went to all lengths to make my brothers and I happy. She spoiled me with her love and gifts, but always worried about making sure my brothers and I recieved equal treatment, showing just how caring she was. She was the definition of the prefect grandparent and showed me what type of grandparent I want to become one day. Every moment spent with my nani clare became the new greatest moment of my life. I know I speak for my brothers and I when I say she will be deeply missed, but will always remain with us in our hearts. We all loved and continue to love you nani. God Bless and rest in peace.

Mom was a great person. A devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She was a generous person with her time as well as her possessions. She put all her energy into whatever she did. She liked people, especially children, and animals as well. She loved life and especially enjoyed helping others. She was very active and was always busy going to plays, out to eat with friends, playing bingo or cards. She also liked to travel, camp, garden and shop. She was always willing to try something new. She also enjoyed her friends at the church and in the organizations she belonged to. Her favorite singer was Elvis Presley. Even with her busy schedule she always found time to call every day and be involved in the lives of her grandsons and daughter and son-in-law. She never missed a birthday or other important event and went to almost all of the boys sporting events. She also enjoyed going on vacations with her family. Wherever we went she knew people and remembered everybody's name. She is irreplacable and will be forever missed. Love you Mom.

Nanny Clare was a great grandmother. She was always there with my family on holidays. She always tried to go to my sport games no matter what time or where they were. She would spoil me and my brothers if we went to either the doctors or the dentist with her. She always tried to make us smile. She did everything she could for me and I thank her for that.

I was so shocked to get the call from Russ. Shirley was a little spitfire and I just loved her. She always had a smile on her face, a kind word, and always the perfect hairdo! She was a fine example of what a mother and grandmother should be.What a great lady and a real class act that will be missed by all who knew her. Please call me if you need anything. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very sad time.
Love,
Mimi and Family

Lori, Russ, Cory, Kyle & Cody~
Neil and I were so saddened by the news of the loss of "Nanny Clare!" Neil has talked about Cory's grandma many, many times over the years with great affection; usually in the context of a funny story or something special she did for *all* the boys--him included. Even the times I'd come to your house and she was there, she would smile and greet me like an old friend.... And I knew that Neil's affection for her was well-deserved. She was "Every-Grandmother." And it was very clear what her family meant to her. We're so sorry; we know she'll be greatly missed....
