Manuel de Sousa Obituary
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Agostinho and Ana (Pereira) de Sousa. Mr. de Sousa lived in the Fox Point Section of Providence before moving to East Providence in 1996. He worked as a machine operator for American Insulated Wire for 26 years. He enjoyed gardening.
Manuel and his wife Eduarda celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 17, 2008.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons; Luis A. De Sousa of Warwick, Agostinho F. de Sousa of East Providence, Manuel Eduardo Sousa and his wife Lucia of Seekonk and his 4 grandchildren; Melissa and Courtney De Sousa, Zachary and Jodie Sousa. He was the brother of 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9AM from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM in Our Lady of The Rosary Church, Traverse Street, Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-8PM. www.rebellofuneralhome.com
