Cora DeFruscio-Forbes Obituary

DeFRUSCIO-FORBES, CORA D. (PADYKULA), 86, of Pawtucket, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2008. She was the wife of Ufford Forbes and the late Rocco DeFruscio.

Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Wladislawa (Golskawicz) Padykula. She was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket. She owned and operated a retail jewelry business for many years.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Barbara Massey and her husband William of Rumford, Joyce Motta and her husband Daniel of Seekonk, MA, two sons, Paul DeFruscio and his wife Lynette of Providence, and Robert DeFruscio and his wife Diane of Greenwich, CT and Narragansett, four sisters, Anne Robinson, Nellie Sullivan, Jessie Thornley, and Rose McKeton, one brother, Frank Pakykula, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Genevieve Parker and Joseph Padykula.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Teresa Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m. www.rifuneral.com. In lieu of flowers, donations to Beacon Hospice, 860A Waterman Avenue, East Providence, Rhode Island 02914, would be appreciated.
