David Stevens Obituary
He was the son of the late Michael A. 'Mickey' and Minna (Schoennagel) Stevens. Mr. Stevens was a truck driver for thirty years for Dodds Transportation, Narragansett and Lincoln Race Track and Monahan Trucking before retiring in 1990. He was a member of the teamsters local #251. He was an Army veteran serving in Korea. He loved gardening, fishing, nature and his family.
Besides his wife he is survived by four sons Michael A., Gregory D. and his wife Christine L., Eric C. and his wife Helen, and Jeffrey S. Stevens, one daughter Laura Minna Daley and her husband Timothy J., four sisters Jeanne Sjovall, Gloria Coutcher, Marlene Maher, Isabel Coutcher, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is predeceased by two brothers Theodore and Charles Stevens.
His memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday November 5, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the St. Mary's Church, Church Street, West Warwick. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Audubon Society of RI, 12 Sanderson, Road, Smithfield, RI 02917.
