Rose Colangelo Obituary

COLANGELO, ROSE M., 86, of Aberdeen Street, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late Domenic Colangelo.

A lifelong resident of West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Ferriera) Gil.

Rose worked in food service for 5 years at the RI Medical Center in Cranston. She also worked as a lace puller at the former Valley Lace in Hope and the former Baker Lace in Coventry.

She is survived by her niece and caretaker, Nancy DiMartino and her husband Domenic of West Warwick, her sister-in-law, Bertha Gil and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Anthony, Manuel and Alfred Gil, Joseph Ferriera, Zilda Ventura and Pearl Dias and her beloved cat, Oreo.

Visitation will be held Wednesday morning, November 5, 2008 from 9:15-10:30 a.m. in the Robert A. Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street, Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. in SS. Peter & Paul Church, West Warwick. Burial will be in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Coventry.
