Leopold Laboissonniere Obituary

LABOISSONNIERE, LEOPOLD O., 88 of Gemini Dr., died Monday, November 3, 2008 at the Harris Health Center. He was the husband of Rita B. (Poirier) Baril-Laboissonniere.

He was born in Central Falls, a son of the late Frank & Marie (Dube) Laboissonniere. Mr. Laboissonniere was a mail clerk for the Robbins Company before retiring. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1271, Central Falls, the Delaney Council #57 Knights of Columbus & the East Providence Senior Center.

Besides his wife he leaves two step daughters, Linda Krogg & Karen Young, two step sons, Normand Baril, Jr. & Philippe Baril, two sisters, Jean Plouffe & Theresa Tougas, one brother, Russell Laboissonniere, three step grandchildren & four step greatgrandchildren. He was the brother of the late Blanche, Roger, Fernand, Rene & Gerard Laboissonniere.

His funeral and visitation will be held on Wednesday at 8:30 A.M. from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in St. Martha Church, Pawtucket Avenue. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.

Please accept my deepest sympathies. My grandfather Joseph Laboissonniere from Providence died in 1958 and I think may have been related. Please let me know if you wish. Again I am verry sorry for your loss.
