Alfred Turgeon Obituary

TURGEON, ALFRED W., 85, of Smithfield, a WWII veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart died peacefully Sunday, November 2, 2008 surrounded by his family.

He was the husband of the late Arline T. (Dufault) Turgeon, father of Allen Turgeon, and the late Mark, David Turgeon and Linda Procaccini; brother of Theresa Zakalski and the late Anita Dufault, Louise Palardy, and Reina Diogenes. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:45 a.m. from the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave., (Rt.44) Greenville with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Michael Church, Farnum Pike. Burial with military honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Wednesday 3:30-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Association will be appreciated. Dear Al,

Our deepest and sincere sympathies to you. I just got word from John about your Dad. He was truly a kind and warm-hearted man. I am so sorry for your loss.
