Emma Placido Obituary

PLACIDO, EMMA (PALMIERI), 84, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2008. She was the beloved wife of Benjamin Placido Sr. for 60 years.

She is survived by her son Benjamin Placido Jr., brother William Palmieri, daughter-in-law Angela Jasparro, grandaughters Dee Natale & Alicia Barbour. She was the loving great grandmother to Matthew, Nicholas, Anthony & Alyssa. She was preceded in death by her parents Nicolo & Rosa (DeFusco) Palmieri & brothers Ralph & Alfred.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 10-11 A.M. in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence with a funeral service to follow at 11 A.M. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Eastgate Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 198 Waterman Ave., East Prov., RI 02914 would be deeply appreciated.

My memories of Emma go back more than 50 years when we would get together for holidays and family visits. She was a warm and kind person who always made us happy. For the family we are so sorry for your loss and will pray for her eternal peace.
