Annette Rosenstein Cohen Obituary

ROSENSTEIN COHEN, ANNETTE, Scranton, PA, died Saturday, Nov. 8 in the Jewish Home, Scranton. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Al Rosenstein in 1961 and Milton Cohen in 1997. Born in Scranton she was the daughter of the late Morris and Ida Stone Gildar, she was the valedictorian of the Scranton Technical High School class of 1934.

Surviving are two daughters, Beverly Schnipper, Elizabeth, N.J., and Elaine Pachter and husband, Howard, Scranton; a son, Jay Rosenstein and wife Judith, Providence, R.I.; two sisters, Sylvia Weintraub, Newton, Mass and Bernice Schwartz, Newton, N.J.; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Gildar, and sisters, Rosalyn Weinberger and Lillian Friedland.

The funeral and interment was held Sunday in Scranton. Shiva is being observed at the residence of her son, Jay Rosenstein, 8 Glen Drive, Providence, RI, all day today and Thursday, and Friday until noon. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
