I want to thank everyone for their kind words and prayers in this difficult time. Losing my grandmother was certainly not an easy experience. Part of me wants to be selfish and keep her with us longer, but know now that she is at peace and finally reunited with my grandfather. Flo was a beautiful person with so many admirable qualities...from her creativity, her baking skills, her sense of humor, her hospitality, her generosity and her sense of family...just to name a few. So many of us have memories that can never be taken from us that will hold her in our hearts for years to come. I know my memories, stories, pictures and love for grandma will keep her close to me forever. She is officially my angel looking over me and making sure me, and the rest of my family, are kept safe and are able to experience life to the fullest like she did. Thank you all again for your love and support.

Below is the email that I sent out to my friends. Following are thier responses with memories of Grandma. Oh the stories we can tell and the memories we have. Lets all laugh and remember the good times we had with her over the years.

Well for those of you that know it has been a long time coming with many up s and downs for her but Grandma Rackliffe passed away earlier today. She d ied peacefully with her family by her side. Those of us that could be with
her were there in her final moments comforting her.

Who would have thought that should would stay with us for as long as she di d after Grandpa passed (6yrs). Earlier this year in May we thought that wa s going to be it and she fought it out until today. Of course it has been hard to watch her go down hill with the altimers these last few years.

For those of you that never met her she was a great lady that was a lot of fun. I have nothing but happy memories of her for the last 29yrs. She was
the best cook I ever knew and there was always enough for an army. I got my love for chocolate from her. She was always baking and making chocolate
candy. She also gave me my love for the outdoors and camping. I can't re member how many times her and Grandpa took me on camping trips. Then there
are all the little things that she said or did over the years. She was al ways good for a laugh and made friends easily.

I don't know the times yet but the wake is going to be on Wed night and the
funeral on Thurs morning.

Hi Heather, Sorry to hear about your Grandma. I will miss her.

Matt

My deepest sympathy -
Grandma Flo was my grandmother, or my second mother. I can't remember her not being there. I remember the Blonde Brownies and the Chocolate Cake with the Chocolate Chips that was always coming out of the oven and being delivered poolside. I too went camping with her and "Donald" in the trailer on numerous occasions.
She was an unbelievably generous and loving person to anyone and everyone, to think she had 2 kids of her own and 2002 of everyone else's ... she will be sadly and sorely missed. I often ride by Angell Road and cut through Whipple and I can not help but have memories of 152 Angell Rd., memories of her, and of Donald or of Spencer Beagle, the pool, the slide into the pool, sitting on the deck listening to the Limerock F.D. scanner go off, the endless meals, those incredible desserts constantly in the oven. She was an important part of my life growing up too. I felt horrible when "Donald" died because it was so unexpected and so tragically sad. For your grandmother I selfishly miss the Flo who will always be in my heart and my memory. I am thankful she is with "her Donald" and sad for all of you so dear to her ... Even though the Flo we all loved and cherished left us some time ago, it still sucks to have her gone "officially". There's no hope for a miracle cure or a day or two where's she's back.
But damn had the biggest heart of anyone I've ever known and she gave us some real good memories and she led us all by being a great example ... Give, Love, Share, Laugh and keep doing it.
I loved her and will miss her.
Uncle Chris (and family)

Dear Heather--My mom & I are so sorry about Grandma. She was a wonderful person, and she and your grandpa created a beautiful, loving family. You wrote such a kind and loving tribute to her below--she would be (and is, I know) so proud of you! Please tell everyone in the family we are thinking of them and are so sorry, and we will see you later this week. Love, LIsa

Hi Heath,
I'm glad I got to talk to you today. I just wanted to say, How are you going to know all about who's doing what without Grandma around. You know she liked to tell you all about her friends and their illnesses. "Oh you know her, she's got __________(fill in the blank with some illness)" :) I think she even told me I knew some of the people when we visited her in Fla! Love you, Amy

Hey Heather,
I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I hope you are holding up ok.
I was reading the note you wrote and someone mentioned something about Whipple Hill. Is that where she lived? I had a total random memory of a birthday party or pool party at grandmother's house...i remember it was a pool party and thats where my love affair with those blondie brownies started! Was that your grandmothers?
Anyway, I hope you are doing alright I know it is never easy.
Take Care,
Melissa
