James Connors Obituary
Born in Providence RI, son of the late William & Rita (Heatherman) Connors.
Jim worked for the State of RI Dept of Youth & Family for 18 years. He and Suzanne were foster parents for over 54 foster children.
Survivors include children, Lt. John, Donald, Laura, Brandon, and Robert Connors, Raymond Strickland, Mark, Craig, Alan, and Sheila Shepherd, Doreen Gardella Smith, 22 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, brothers include, William & Rebecca, Richard & Sheila, Robert and Rhonda Connors and sister in law Patricia Connors. He was the father of the late Dalton Connors and the brother of the late Gerald Connors.
Funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., No. Smithfield with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Help Church in Mapleville. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Pawtucket. Calling hours will be Monday from 5-8 p.m. Brownfuneralhomes.com

Please accept my sincere sympathy in the loss of Jim. Jim was my supervisor in the early 1980's when I was a case aide. I will always remember Jim as a true gentleman who and had a kind heart for the children in DCF care.

I worked with Jim at DCF when he was a case aide. I attended his wedding. He was a fine man. God Bless his wife and family.
