Eileen Murray Obituary

MURRAY, EILEEN L. (SAWYER), 73, of Elmwood Avenue, Cranston, died Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Kent County Hospital, Warwick. She was the wife of Ronald F. Murray. They were married for fifty-five years.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Lester B. and Mary J. (Kenney) Sawyer. Mrs. Murray along with her husband was the co-owner of Ronny's Place Tavern of Cranston for the past twenty-eight years.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Ronald F. Murray, Jr. of Cranston, William L. Murray, Patricia L. Costa, both of Warwick, Robert D. Murray and Cathy A. Murray, both of Cranston. Mrs. Murray was the grandmother of six and the great-grandmother of four. She was the sister of the late Warren, Elmer, Lester, Harry, Jackie and Robert Sawyer, Anna Catone, Rita Raposa, Evelyn Anderson and Jean Breedon.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday, at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church, Elmwood Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Visit www.nardolillo.com for information and online condolences.

Uncle ronny,
And all my cousins, I am so sorry for your loss. I know first hand what is feels like. My Aunt Eileen was my life line since my mom died. When my mom died she took some of my heart with her. I am so so sorry for your loss, it does get better but it will always be a big loss. Take care of your dad he needs you so much right now.I really dont know what to say because this is a big loss for me too. I am so sorry I could not afford flowers, if I could to show my love for my aunt Eileen the funeral parlor would be filled with the most beautiful flowers in the world.You are all in my prayers and I sendall my love to all of you. Dear Family,
I was so shocked to hear this sad news. I was just talking to her while she was in the hospital and she said she would email me when she got home. I will miss her very much.
