Emiliana DiCristofano Obituary

DiCRISTOFANO, EMILIANA M. 'MARIA' (PAOLELLA), 83, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on Saturday at her home with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Antonio DiCristofano. They were married for 54 years.

Born in Paris, France, Emiliana was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria Teresa (Franchetti) Paolella. She was employed by the State of Rhode Island before her retirement and a communicant of St. Agnes Church in Providence. Emiliana was a talented and gentle woman, happiest when surrounded by her devoted family.

Besides her husband, she leaves her children, Louis DiCristofano and his wife Marilena; Mirella Ferris and her husband, Ed, Gloria Bryce and her husband, Rob; her grandsons, Spencer and Cameron Bryce, and Jonathan and Jordan Ferris; and her brothers and sister in Italy, Arturo, Rosina, Mario, and Egidio Paolella. She was the sister of the late Vittorio Paolella.

Calling hours Wednesday 4-8 PM in the A. A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence. Funeral Thursday at 9 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 AM in St. Agnes Church, 100 Chatham St., Providence. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Eternal peace with God for dear and good Amelia'- That is the loving name the Franchetti's of NJ gave her in the early 50's when my Father Clarence sponsored her to come to Amercia from Italy for his Dad and her relative, Giuseppe. She was a caring, wise and kind lady, and will never be forgotten. God Bless the Dicristofano's....
