Nancy Fonseca Obituary

FONSECA, NANCY A., 71, of Manton Street, died Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Diamantino and Maria (Cunha) Fonseca.

She leaves two brothers; Edward Fonseca of Providence and Robert R. Fonseca of Rumford and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Irene Sousa, Joseph, Gilbert and Diamantino Fonseca.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8 A.M. from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 A.M. in Our Lady of The Rosary Church, Traverse Street, Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 5-8.

I used to work for Nancy up until last year. I was fortunate to see her in the hospital last week while visiting RI. I will miss her infectious laugh and warm smile not to mention her fiesty personality! I loved her dearly! May she rest in Peace.
My deepest sympathies to the family, friends, housemates and caretakers. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
