Shirlee was born July 12, 1934, in Warren, Ohio, to George and Vivian (Montgomery) Parke. She married Millard "Mick" Hartman on April 19, 1951, in Roseville.
Shirlee enjoyed volunteering at the Munson Hospice House, caregiving for her mother and gardening. She also enjoyed reading, especially to help her spiritual growth of her religion, Eckankar.
Shirlee was considered a friend to all and touched countless people with her kindness and non-judgemental outlook. She had a deep love and appreciation for all God's creations.
Surviving Shirlee is her husband of 57 years, Millard; children, Randy (Erin) Hartman of Suttons Bay, Greg (Kelly) Hartman of Cape Coral, Fla., Brian Hartman of Empire, Debbie (Jahan) Azizi of Canton, Scott (Carol) Hartman of Sterling Heights, Cindy (Steve) Brock of Brandon Township, Kevin (Janet) Hartman of Lake Orion, and Ken (Debbie) Hartman of Lansing; 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Shirlee was preceded in death by her father, George Parke; siblings, Robert and Donald; and son, Steven Hartman.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Munson Hospice House.

I was saddened to hear of Shirlee's passing. She was such an inspiration as she touched the lives of so many. I will never forget the loving care she gave to my dear friend, Joyce, and the wonderful words she spoke at Joyce's funeral.
