Larry was wonderful son and brother, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Larry graduated from St. Clair High School and attended St. Clair Community College until he entered the Army, serving during Vietnam.
After his honorable discharge from the Army, he went to work for Consumers Power, from where he retired in 2006 after 37 years of service.
Larry is survived by his loving mother, Betty May Shook of St. Clair; his brother, Robert C. Shook of Kaleva; and sister, Connie (Jim) Sherrill of St. Clair.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Lester Shook in 1998.
Visitation will be today, Sept. 3, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Visitation will again be held Thursday, Sept. 4, from 1 to 6 p.m., also at the funeral home, followed by the funeral service at 6 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Larry to the Kalkaska Commission on Aging, 303 S. Coral St., Kalkaska, MI 49646.

I am so sorry for your loss. Death of a young loved one is never easy. I had seen Larry a lot lately at the kaliseum and enjpyed talking to him about the Consumers Power days. He is up in heaven with Roger catching up. Again I am sorry for your loss.
