BUCKLEY — Joseph Frank Malik III, "Joe", age 49, of Buckley, died Aug. 30, 2008.

Joseph was a very special man. He was a very caring and loving husband, father and doting grandfather.

He gave life to all through his drawings. He also will continue giving life through organ donation. He was a gifted and talented artist and cartoonist who will be sorely missed.

His family was his greatest achievement.

He was the loving husband of Dianna, sharing over 28 years together; loving father of Neil Guernsey, Joseph IV and Nathan (Rachel) Malik; beloved son of Mildred; proud grandfather of Aiden Guernsey; dear brother of Maria (Joe) Bossingham and Jan Malik; and nephew of Mary Svec. He is also survived by his in-laws, Carmen Kitzmiller (Paul Saxton), Pam (Pete) Hansen, Al Kitzmiller, Randy (Tammie) Kitzmiller, Kim (Kevin) Stein and David (Shirley) Kitzmiller; 29 nieces and nephews; and 17 great-nieces and -nephews.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Joseph II; grandparents, Joseph I (Mary) Skopek; father-in-law, Roger Kitzmiller; Carl (Estelle) Kitzmiller, Robert (Carmen) Schultz; nephew, Jeremy Malik; and Ozzie, his loving feline cat.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Buckley Community School in the gymnasium, with a luncheon to follow in the cafeteria.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family or a charity of the donor's choice.

He always had a big "hello" whenever he saw you and made a special point to stop and talk with you. Just remember Di when times get tough look up into the night sky and pick out the brightest star, that would be "Joe". He was a great friend and I truly will miss him.
