My Uncle Ernie was more than just an uncle to me. He was an example of what a Christian man should be like. It is my prayer that I am able to model myself after him as a husband and a father. I loved Uncle Ernie very much and I will sadly miss him, but I know he is at home with his Lord, Jesus Christ.

Praise God for a long and rich full life for Ernie. He and Julia are both very dear to the heart of my Mom & Dad. More special friends could never be found. May God be with you in your time of sorrow as Ernie's presence here on earth will be greatly missed.

Ernie was a wonderful man, husband, father and grandfather (great grandfather).
He touched everyone who had the honor of meeting him with his calm kindness.
His love for my children and grandchildren will forever touch their lives as well as mine.

Ernie was truly a special man and will live in our hearts forever. Our love goes out to you Julia. The strength, love, faith, and devotion that you and Ernie have always shown is an inspiration. You told us when we moved to Suttons Bay that you would be like our Grandparents since we were so far away from most of our family, and yes, you and Ernie will always be like our Grandparents. Ernie will be missed, but we know that he is happy and at peace. His memory will live on in the hearts and lives of many.
