Darrell Duncan Obituary

Darrell Dean (Triple D) Duncan, 49, of Christiansburg, passed away August 15, 2008. He was preceded by his father, Claude Earnest Duncan and sister, Debra Custer. Mr. Duncan is survived by his mother, Emma Reed; stepfather, Elbert Reed; sister, Claudia Burton and Robert Conley; daughter, Rachel Duncan; sons, Michael Davis, Adam and Matthew Spangler; special niece, Emily Conley; nephews, Jason Honaker and wife, Becky, Chris and Brad Burton; nieces, Amy Smith and husband, Kyle Smith, Jessica Sutphin and husband, Chris; special friends, Linda Kimberly, Tina Harris, Helen Lilly and family, Tony and Mitzie, Frank and Brenda; many other close friends and relatives. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2008, with a funeral service to be held at Horne Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor T. Michael Bond officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. The family is being served by Horne Funeral Service. Online condolences may be sent to hornefuneralservice.com.

Darrell was a good friend. He will be missed. Our friendship when we were kids holds some of my fondest childhood memories. Darrell was a real character and a lot of fun. He kept me out of a lot of trouble. My deepest condolences to his family.
