George Foster Obituary

George K. Foster Jr., 77, of Wytheville, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, August 19, 2008. He was born in Redlands, Calif. He was a retired United States Navy Veteran and was a Mason and Shriner. He is survived by his wife, Betty Milgrim Foster, of Wytheville; daughters and son-in-law, Vicki and Dennis Robinson, of North Carolina, Colleen Dearers and Linda McKeage, both of California; sons, Michael Foster and Patrick Foster, both of California; special sister-in-law, Evelyn Robertson, of Richmond; special niece, Kathy Robertson, of Richmond; special nephew, Thomas Robertson, of Richmond; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and other friends and relatives also survive. Memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2008, in the Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Miriam M. Dakin. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Virginia, 600 W. Ridge Road, Wytheville, Va. 24382 or to the Alzheimers Association, 2728 Colonial Ave., S.W., Suite 2, Roanoke, Va. 24015. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
