David C. Mullins

David C. Mullins, 81, of Danville, and formerly of Roanoke, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2008. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railway as a car repairman with 40 years of service. He was a life time member of the Odd Fellows Lodge Mountain Dale Lodge. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elouise Frances Mullins; his parents, William David and Virgie Crum Mullins; daughter, Kathy Sue Mullins; great-granddaughter, Kristen Gail Brooks; brothers, Ewell Mullins, Glenn "Moon" Mullins and George "Ert" Mullins; and sister, Christine Hoover. Surviving are his sons, Chuck Mullins and wife, Robin, and Terry Mullins and wife, Glenna; daughter, Brenda Hartman; two granddaughters, Melissa and Becky Mullins; two grandsons, Buddy Mullins and wife, Robin, and Tyler Mullins; sisters, Ruth Beard, Edith Sarver and Barbara Poff; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held noon on Friday, August 22, 2008, at Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. Larry Sprouse officiating. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2008, at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.
