Frank Neighbors Obituary

Frank William Neighbors, 82, of Roanoke County, passed away Friday, August 22, 2008. He was the son of the late William H. and Mabel S. Neighbors. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Earline Minnix Neighbors, sisters, Nellie Boone, Josephine Shaver, Caroline Hafer, his brothers, Glenn Neighbors, Sr. and David "Gene" Neighbors. Surviving are three daughters, Rosemary (Ray) Widener, Connie Neighbors, and Nancy (Steven) Knowles; two sons, Jerry Neighbors and Gary (Marlene) Neighbors. Also left to cherish his memory are five sisters, Violet Davis, Ruby (Charles) Cooper, Helen (Tommy) Barber, Delores (Maynard) Hall, and Eleanor "Jane" Bohon; brothers, Sam (Betty) Neighbors, Carl (Luanna) Neighbors and Hoover (Alma) Neighbors; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at Oakey's South Chapel on Brambleton Ave. at 2 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2008. The Rev. Willie Ratliff and the Rev. Ray Widener will officiate. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2008. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-3131.
